Billy Hyde store opens to the sweet sound of Spyderlites & Scooterlites
11 January 2010
An unmissable mix of Scooterlites & Sypderlites hit the streets of Sydney prior to Christmas for the opening of the new Billy Hyde store at 222 Clarence Street. An entrance that stepped back from the street meant the new store was virtually invisible to passers-by, so the Marketing Department called Impact Media. The brief: put together a fleet of head-turning vehicles, put the new store top-of-mind amongst the target group in the Sydney CBD, and let them know if you come in and buy anything in-store during the opening week you'll go into the draw to win a guitar a day!
The campaign was a mix of static and ridden, with Spyderlites & Scooterlites parked right outside the store for 20 minutes every hour to ensure everyone knew it's location, and the rest of the time riding the street immediately surrounding the store to tell people where to go (in the nicest possible way of course!)
